San Francisco boasts many specialty-food stores, from artisan-cheese shops to high-end ice cream spots. Last Spring Dogpatch became the first San Francisco neighborhood to host a gluten-free grocery store. Gluten Free Reviewer Grocery, located at the corner of Illinois and Mariposa streets, is an outgrowth of a website, www.glutenfreereviewer.com, devoted to reviewing gluten-free foods. It’s operated by Calvin Chin and Topher Delaney, the latter of whom also owns adjacent landscape design firm Seam Studio.
